About The Position
Sybil Mobile Notary, a progressive growing company headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, is seeking Notary Publics and Notary Signing Agents (NSA). The company encourages independence and work-life balance. This role can be full-time, part-time, or an independent contractor position, allowing individuals to control their own schedule and work expenses. General Notary Publics (NP) may provide notary services for private individuals, private and commercial companies, and federal, city, and state awarded government contracts. Notary Signing Agents (NSA) will handle closings for the mortgage industry, which can be performed at office locations, remotely (RON), or by traveling to meet clients at mutually agreed-upon locations. The position is available for 100% remote or hybrid work, including Independent Consultant (IC), Contractor, Temporary, and Government Contracts.
Requirements
- Notary Certifications required
- Meets all the states requirements to be a commissioned notary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with legal documents and loan documents
- Flexibility, professionalism is a must
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently and on a team
Nice To Haves
- RON Certified notaries are a plus
- Ability to speak and read in other languages is desired
Responsibilities
- Being present at the time of document execution (this may include traveling to clients’ homes and businesses, performing notarizations in our office locations, or remotely (RON)
- Verifying the identification of signers, witnesses, participants
- Document execution (legally binding signatures)
- Affirming the state of mind of all signers
- Identifying fraud or coercion
- Administering oaths
- Handling affidavits, contracts, loan documents, court hearings, marriage certificates, and other legal documents
- Bearing witness to items within a safe deposit box or the equivalent
- Maintaining a notary journal as required by your commissioned state
- Scheduling notary appointments
- Attend SMN trainings and required events
- Accept/decline new job orders and follow the rules of SMN and its clients
