Lochner – learn more about us Your impact: Planning and overseeing higher level natural resources field investigations, including coordinating field teams, managing logistics, and ensuring that sampling and data collection adhere to established health and safety protocols and quality standards. Perform on-site natural resources field investigations and/or inspections and collect samples of soil, water, air, and biological materials to assess environmental conditions and identify potential environmental impacts. Regularly collect and analyze environmental data to track trends and detect any changes or potential issues in various ecosystems, ensuring that environmental quality is maintained or improved. Assist in the formulation and review of environmental policies, regulations, and standards to ensure they are effective and up-to-date, and contribute to regulatory compliance and enforcement efforts. Manage and execute natural components of transportation and other engineering projects, such as wetland and stream impact minimization/mitigation, habitat restoration, or sustainability initiatives, ensuring they meet objectives, budgets, and timelines. Write detailed technical reports, permitting packages, and documentation summarizing field findings, project outcomes, and compliance with environmental regulations, and present these findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Evaluate the environmental impact of proposed transportation projects or activities, and assist in the development of NEPA/SEPA documents.
