North American Transportation Yard Management Supervisor

Ford Motor CompanyDearborn, MI
$112,680 - $212,760

About The Position

The NAML Yard Management Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that there are processes and enablers in place to allow for the optimal trailer flow from the Plant Bullpens to the Plant Docks at cost budget and with minimal production disruptions. Lead the strategic coordination and optimization of the trailer flow process between Plant Bullpens and Plant Docks across all Ford North American (NA) facilities. In this highly cross-functional role, you will establish performance standards, map common Switching and Yard Management (SYM) business processes—including physical and data flows and FMEAs—and drive bullpen reduction actions to keep plants operating within capacity constraints. You will partner closely with local Plant teams, Purchasing, and Finance to minimize Driver and Trailer Dwell, manage SYM budgets, author Statements of Work (SOW) for market tests, and oversee shuttling invoice approvals. Additionally, you will collaborate with Ford Land to procure off-site lots and complete business cases (PAR, MEARS, PO) while working with MFE and the NAML Planning Team to ensure new model programs have adequate bullpen capacity and equipment funding. A key focus of this role will be driving digital transformation by partnering with Ford IT and vendors to launch the new PINC Yard Management System (YMS) across NA, deploying hardware enablers like FastGate and MRTs, integrating new Rack Tendering Processes, and training Ford, Penske, and plant personnel. Throughout all operations, you will actively promote a diverse and inclusive culture and maintain strict compliance with Ford’s Anti-Harassment (B-110) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies.
