About The Position

The North America GEO Lead (Generative Engine Optimization) is a critical executive leader for the North American region at Jellyfish, a full-service global digital agency and part of the Brandtech Group. This role is for a visionary who can connect advancements in AI technology with practical applications for sophisticated brands. The position involves 50% Product Architect responsibilities, focusing on evolving the proprietary GEO tech stack and methodologies, and 50% Executive Consultant responsibilities, acting as a trusted advisor to key North American clients to embed GEO as a crucial growth pillar. Jellyfish is a pioneer in using generative AI tools, including Pencil Pro, to transform creative production and performance, with One Media specializing in the intersection of data, technology, and consumer intent.

Requirements

  • Deep technical understanding of Knowledge Graphs, LLM training data, and NLP.
  • Commercial gravitas of a seasoned agency executive.
  • Ability to develop strategies for a future where "Agentic" behavior (AI agents shopping on behalf of humans) is the norm.
  • Ability to identify which One Media or Creative service is required to bridge a gap identified in a ShareofModel™ report.
  • Deep understanding of the North American media landscape, retail media networks (Amazon, Walmart Connect), and their intersection with AI search.
  • Commitment to "Real & Rigorous" principles: client recommendations must be rooted in measurable signals from proprietary AI toolsets.

Responsibilities

  • Define the regional roadmap for GEO in North America, ensuring Jellyfish remains a market leader in AI-mediated discovery (LLMs, SearchGPT, Perplexity).
  • Act as the primary stakeholder for the development of ShareofModel™ and other technology solutions in NA, addressing specific regional client challenges.
  • Develop and standardize "Generative Engine Optimisation" frameworks in collaboration with the global lead, focusing on entity reinforcement and citation frequency optimization beyond keywords.
  • Design training and operational workflows for the deployment of GEO across the wider One Media team to ensure scalable technical excellence.
  • Partner with Creative teams to integrate GEO insights with GenAI content production, creating a seamless "Insight-to-Activation" workflow.
  • Serve as the senior GEO lead for Jellyfish’s most significant North American accounts, translating complex AI shifts into board-level business strategies.
  • Own the GEO revenue targets for NA, identifying opportunities for partnership expansion and leading the GEO narrative in new business pitches.
  • Guide clients from "AI curiosity" to "AI maturity," assisting CMOs in transitioning to an ecosystem where AI agents influence the purchase funnel.
  • Act as the North American face of GEO for Jellyfish, participating in industry events and authoring thought leadership content.
  • Direct and mentor a team of specialists, fostering a culture of "Real & Rigorous" analysis and forward-thinking.
