The new correspondent will enlighten our global readership about the transformation of North American energy companies as they reckon with climate change in a complex geopolitical context. You will cover energy companies and policy in the United States and Canada, as well as some coverage of energy companies operating in other relevant beats as required. Key coverage priorities will include offshore exploration and development, shale oil and gas, the liquefied natural gas business, and energy and related services and technology companies. That includes examining the industry’s clean energy efforts, such as carbon capture and storage. You will be part of the international Upstream news team and will have opportunities to travel. You will also have the opportunity to work on Upstream’s live and digital events. You will need to be based in Houston, where you will work remotely with strong support from Upstream’s global news team, and will report directly to Upstream’s Editor-in-Chief.
