About The Position

We are hiring for the role of Nordic Spa Lead Attendant. This opportunity is located in Girdwood, Alaska. Located on the Alyeska Resort grounds, each Nordic Spa experience is crafted to be as individual as our guests. Featuring an indoor-outdoor experience, we offer relaxation without rules where guests can come as they are to connect with nature, themselves and others. We are wellness redefined. As a Nordic Spa Lead Attendant, you will lead and support the Spa Attendant Team to ensure exceptional quality, cleanliness, and safety across all Nordic Spa facilities. Your leadership and commitment to wellness will inspire your team to provide outstanding service while maintaining that the facility remains picture perfect.

Requirements

  • Excellent guest service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to lift, move, and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
  • Passion for people and wellness
  • Ability to focus on attention to detail, remaining professional and courteous at all times
  • Must be highly self-motivated
  • Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently

Nice To Haves

  • One year leadership experience within the hospitality or spa industry is preferred
  • First Aid Certificates (including CPR) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the physical environment, always ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Demonstrate pride in work by creating positive energy, teamwork, excitement, and fun
  • Meet the demands of a fast-paced environment through personal empowerment, using good judgment and the ability to multi-task
  • Ensures locker rooms are consistently spotless and fully stocked at all times throughout shift
  • Focused on turning lockers (dirty to clean status in system) as quickly as possible
  • Conducts scheduled walk throughs to maintain cleanliness of pool deck, relaxation spaces and fire pit walk through to ensure cleanliness and standards are always maintained
  • Checks cleanliness and temperature of pools, steam rooms and saunas
  • Refills and restocks guest amenities and laundry items in a timely manner
  • Completes deep cleaning tasks as assigned
  • Assigned deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow up; both in terms of timeliness and quality
  • Understands spaces that are clean, organized and in good repair supports the value that experiences should be as easy as water through fingers
  • Completing work processes and checklists seamlessly support the Spa value that we respect our guest’s inherent desire to be at peace
  • Personal communication, interactions and behaviors support the Spa value that everyone is welcome and everyone is equal
  • Contributes to a collaborative workplace; supporting the Spa value of community, common goals, and acceptance
  • Other duties as assigned
