About The Position

The Noon Supervisor assists school staff in supervising students in cafeteria areas and on playgrounds during breakfast, lunch, and recess periods. This role involves maintaining order, guiding students in keeping areas clean and safe, leading recreational activities, and enforcing school rules related to health, safety, and behavior. The position also requires reporting hazardous conditions, accidents, and performing first aid as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school and one year of relevant experience.
  • Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints, Tuberculosis and/or other employment clearance.
  • Knowledge of routine, difficult duties in supervising students.
  • Knowledge of requirements to maintain cafeteria and playground in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
  • Knowledge of good communication and interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Knowledge of District policies regarding health, safety and other procedures.
  • Knowledge of first aid techniques.
  • Ability to perform a variety of routine, difficult duties involving supervision of student activities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with students, staff and others.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to meet schedules and time lines and maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment.
  • Ability to administer first aid.
  • Ability to complete work accurately and as directed with many interruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist school staff in supervising students in cafeteria areas and on playgrounds during breakfast, lunch, and recess periods.
  • Maintain order in serving lines and at eating areas.
  • Guide pupils in maintaining clean and safe eating and play areas.
  • Lead or supervise organized and unorganized recreational activities.
  • Enforce school rules concerning the health, safety, and proper behavior of pupils.
  • Correct or report conditions hazardous to the health and safety of children.
  • Report all accidents involving actual or suspected pupil injury to designated staff.
  • Perform first aid as required.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
