About The Position

The Noon Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of students during lunchroom and playground activities. This role aims to minimize harmful incidents and communicate observations to school personnel regarding student and staff well-being. This is a part-time, 10-month school year position requiring 2 hours of work daily.

Responsibilities

• Assists with duties assigned on the playground and in the cafeteria to ensure student needs are met.
• Assists students with mealtime needs (e.g., retrieving utensils, cleaning spills, finding seats) to ensure a safe, timely, and healthy experience.
• Arranges food, beverages, condiments, and utensils at the cafeteria counter and snack carts for student access.
• Reports misbehavior to teachers to ensure the safety and welfare of all students.
• Supervises students on the playground, enforcing rules and intervening when safety is threatened.
• Assists other personnel as required to support their work activities.
