About The Position

As the Noon Aide/Recess Monitor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable recess experience for our students. You will be working primarily outdoors and will be responsible for supervising students during recess. Your responsibilities will include providing attentive supervision during recess, sharing any challenges or unusual observations with teachers and school personnel, and paying special attention to safety, especially during changing weather conditions or other unique circumstances. You will be ready for an active role, involving extended periods of standing, walking, and stooping. You will encourage and assist students in gathering materials, games, balls, and other items for activities. You will quickly report any injuries or unusual situations to the professional staff to ensure prompt attention and care. You will cultivate warm and positive interactions with our scholars, creating an encouraging and friendly environment. You will gently guide students away from inappropriate behavior and ensure they transition between activities in an orderly manner. You will conduct daily checks of the playground, addressing any potential hazards to ensure a safe play area and be prepared to respond appropriately to any emergencies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
One (1) year experience working with children
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Positive interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
Strong planning, execution, and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated and dependable.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a school setting or similar environment
Basic first aid and CPR certification
