The successful candidate will support ongoing research projects focused on inflammation, immune cell biology, and related biochemical and cell-based assays. Responsibilities will include maintaining mammalian cell cultures, performing immunology-based experiments, developing and optimizing cell-based assays, analyzing data, training students and junior personnel, maintaining accurate laboratory records, and contributing to manuscript, grant, and report preparation. The candidate will work closely with the principal investigator and other lab members to advance research goals and ensure rigorous, reproducible experimental practices.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field.
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, tissue culture techniques, and immunology-based assays.
  • Experience with standard laboratory practices, data analysis, and documentation of experimental procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of mammalian cell culture and sterile technique.
  • Experience with immune cell assays, inflammation models, and/or cell-based functional assays.
  • Familiarity with techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, Western blotting, microscopy, viability assays, cytokine analysis, and/or transwell-based assays.
  • Ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize experimental protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and research records.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
