About The Position

This position supports the Early Childhood Music program at the University of North Texas, requiring in-depth knowledge of its functions. Responsibilities include program planning and development, curriculum development, community outreach, assisting in training programs, developing learning assessments, reporting, program marketing, and budget monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in music education with a specialization in Early Childhood Music.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of child development.
  • Knowledge of early childhood music.
  • Ability to prepare lessons.
  • Ability to lead groups of children.
  • Ability to supervise students.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of populations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and lead project teams effectively.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
