About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their growing San Francisco cardiology practice. This position involves a blend of outpatient cardiology and hospital-based service within an integrated cardiovascular program. The group is particularly interested in candidates with expertise or interest in echocardiography, cardiac CT, and/or cardiac MRI, with opportunities to further develop these areas as the program expands. The practice model is described as "privademic," combining physician-led clinical practice with teaching, research, and academic engagement. Physicians work collaboratively within the Sutter Health system, which is noted for its investment in innovation and growth, while SWBMG offers a premier multi-specialty group environment with nearly 500 clinicians in the greater San Francisco area. Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF) provides an administrative infrastructure to support physicians.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure
  • DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (CSRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • Expertise or interest in echocardiography

  • Expertise or interest in cardiac MRI
  • Additional clinical or imaging interests
  • Level III training in echocardiography
