About The Position

The Non Foods Manager oversees the non-foods department, including household items, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products, and other non-food products. The role manages inventory, product placement, and sales performance, and leads and supervises non-foods clerks to support excellent customer service and effective department operations. The position collaborates with store management and other department managers to help achieve store goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment.
• Knowledge of non-food products and inventory management practices.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle various tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and restocking non-food products.
• Optimize shelf space and product placement to support sales and an appealing presentation.
• Monitor sales trends and customer preferences to inform product selection and promotions.
• Train and supervise non-foods clerks, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records and minimize shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with store management and other department managers to achieve store goals and objectives.
