About The Position

The Non-Foods Clerk manages and stocks the non-foods department, including household items, cleaning supplies, and health and beauty products. The role ensures shelves are properly stocked and organized, helps customers locate products, and maintains department cleanliness. The clerk also supports inventory and ordering activities, receives and checks deliveries, prices and labels products, and contributes to efficient store operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
Knowledge of non-food products and inventory management practices.
Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

Stock shelves and displays with non-food items, rotating and organizing products.
Help customers locate non-food items, recommend products, and answer questions about product features and uses.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking to maintain adequate stock.
Keep the department clean and organized, including shelves, displays, and aisles.
Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying the accuracy and quality of non-food items.
Price and label products according to pricing guidelines and procedures.
Assist with inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate records.
