Requirements

• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
• Team player who contributes to morale, accountability, and trust
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to stay positive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to safety standards and PPE requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous customer-facing experience preferred
• Standing and walking for extended periods on uneven surfaces
• Lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs
• Climbing, bending, reaching, and working in physically demanding conditions
• Exposure to outdoor elements, noise, dust, and industrial environments

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of metal grades is a plus (we’ll train the right person)
• Experience in scrap or metals industry is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver a welcoming, professional, and helpful customer experience
• Inspect, identify, weigh, and grade non-ferrous metals
• Accurately price materials based on current guidelines
• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and applicable laws
• Verify customer identification and required documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and skid steers (training provided)
• Assist with inventory and material preparation for shipment
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive team culture
• Participate in training, meetings, and continuous improvement efforts
