About The Position

Pacific Recycling, Inc. is a family-owned scrap metal recycling facility that values honesty and hard work. We have been recycling metal in Lane County for over 25 years and are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and hard-working person to join our team immediately. Non-ferrous graders are primarily responsible for grading and sorting incoming non-ferrous metals based on various factors, including appearance and quality. This is a fast-paced role that requires multi-tasking and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English to understand instructions and emergency communications
• 18 years of age
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Reliable with the ability to adhere to a work schedule

Nice To Haves

• Experience in scrapyard preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Grade and sort incoming non-ferrous metals
• Accurately input materials into purchasing software
• Help customers unload vehicles
• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times
• Communicate with yard personnel
• Keeps non-ferrous area clean, well-organized, and safe
• Operate forklift
• Assists in building non-ferrous loads
• Keep NF lead informed of any delays or issues
• Perform other tasks as assigned or requested
