About The Position

The Quality and Process Engineering organization is seeking Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level 3 subject matter experts to support key module centers, business units, suppliers, and partners in developing and continuously improving NDT systems. As part of the Q&PE NDT team, the successful candidate will perform NDT audits and certifications, provide technical guidance and inspection system oversight, and drive process improvements. The NDT proficiencies being considered are Etch, FPI, ECI, and X-Ray, including film, digital, and computed radiography. The role is based primarily onsite in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 8 years of NDT experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Ability to gain Pratt & Whitney NDT Level 3 certification in an applicable method upon hiring.
• U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract.

Nice To Haves

• Currently hold Pratt & Whitney Level 3 certification in one or multiple applicable methods.
• Experience with training, personnel testing, and auditing NDT systems.
• Experience with modern and automated inspection systems.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing operations and engineering.
• Knowledge and experience with root cause and process control tools.
• Project management and operations leadership experience.
• Experience with NX, SAP, and the Microsoft suite.
