This is a Full Time Position. The role involves preparing patients for providers, recording medical history and vital signs, and maintaining compliance with regulations. The Medical Assistant will also handle phone calls, care for instruments, participate in mandatory meetings and drills, and ensure patient confidentiality. They will utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR), identify and report abuse, collect and transport specimens, and assist providers with procedures. The role requires collaboration with patient care planning, active participation in patient education, and acting as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and staff. Administering medication, translating medications into pediatric doses, and floating to other clinical departments may also be required. The position also emphasizes commitment to organizational values, effective communication, adherence to dress code, initiative, self-motivation, time management, completion of required training, and active participation in performance improvement initiatives. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, infection control, safety, and risk management procedures is crucial.
