About The Position

Pitney Bowes is hiring for a Non CDL (Straight/Box) Truck Driver, 3rd Shift in Ashland, Virginia at our Presort Services facility. Your hourly pay will be $21.00 paid weekly. Your 3rd Shift schedule will be Monday through Friday from 6:30PM to 2:30AM EST.

Requirements

Must be minimum 21 years in age.
Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license (State in which driver resides).
Ability to drive a Straight and or Box Trucks up to 26,000 GVWR.
Must have a minimum of 6 months verifiable driving experience in similar sized vehicles (i.e., Straight and/Box Truck) within the last 3 years with a safe driving record.
Must be flexible and can come in early or work later if someone calls off or is on vacation.
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop and bend with or without accommodation.
Basic Computer skills and ability to read a map and understand directions.
Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

Responsible for picking up and delivering mail from our customers.
Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications, and USPS regulations.
Ensure that the mail is reviewed for proper dates and a pickup slip is attached with each order prior to loading the truck.
Performing warehouse duties include wrapping pallets, stacking trays, and loading trucks.
Maintains daily driver’s log for mileage and cargo.
Maintain documentation for customer pickups such as collecting signatures and tracking/documenting mail counts and assisting with mail related questions.
Keeps vehicle, production floor, and area clean.
Other duties as assigned.
