About The Position

This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 16ft non-CDL box truck, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs.

Requirements

Verifiable (1 or more years) experience in truck driving or delivery driving roles.
NY, NJ or PA Driver's license class D, C , B or A accepted
Driving record in good standing
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card ( medical examiner's certificate)
Ability to pass a DOT drug test
Strong knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations governing commercial trucking.
Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment like liftgates, hand trucks and manual pallet jacks ; comfort working in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Load and unload cargo safely using equipment like hand trucks, manual pallet hacks and liftgates when necessary, ensuring proper handling of refrigerated goods.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving long or short-haul routes to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any route changes or delays promptly.
Ability to work alone - no helper provided.
