The Shag Driver will drive a shag truck, pull and back 48 and 53-foot trailers. This role requires operating the shag truck safely on company property, maintaining safety and ergonomic processes, and using electronic equipment to communicate with the Logistics Manager. The driver will also be responsible for physically washing out trailers as needed, maintaining wash and shag reports, setting reefer units at proper temperatures, and maintaining truck cleanliness and maintenance logs. Additionally, the role involves performing equipment inspections as required by USDOT regulations, monitoring the truck parking lot, and communicating issues with vendor trailers.
