About The Position
This position delivers ice to customers in vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License. The route driver is assigned a specific geographic region and/or route to service. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated is subject to change depending on business needs. Reddy Ice manufactures and distributes approximately 1.8 million tons of ice annually to a broad and diversified customer base. These customers rely on us for ice that is produced under the industry’s highest standards. With our quality and high service levels, Reddy Ice has become the provider of choice for customers coast to coast.
Requirements
- Must have a High School education or GED.
- Must possess a clean driving record.
- Must have basic math skills and exceptional customer relations skills.
- Requires a minimum of an operator’s driver’s license and at least two years of driving experience.
Nice To Haves
- Two years previous local delivery driver experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Delivers ice to customers in vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License.
- Unloads, loads, and rotates product in merchandisers / iceboxes.
- Will perform work in retail stores; frequently driving between retail stores and plant location.
