About The Position

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Non-CDL Mini Packer Truck Driver. Safety is our top priority. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $26.00, with early start times, working Monday through Friday with some Saturdays. Interstate Waste Services is a leading provider of solid waste and recycling services in Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, and has expanded into Pennsylvania and Ohio. Requirements

21 Years of Age & Legally Eligible to Work in the United States
Valid Class A or B CDL
Airbrake Endorsement
1-year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
Great Safety Record and Clean MVR
Working Knowledge of DOT, OSHA & Applicable Traffic Regulations
Ability to Speak & Read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and make legible entries on reports and records.
Ability to read and understand a map.
Meet Physical & Safety Requirements of the Position.
Willing & Able to Work Required Worked Hours as Allowed Under DOT Regulation & May Include Weekend, Night &/Or Holiday Work.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Driver or Helper for a Refuge Company is Highly Preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
Transport material to a disposal, transfer, or recycle facility, potentially making multiple trips per shift.
Navigate through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations.
Perform highly skilled backing maneuvers.
Routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
Perform driver pre and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in compliance with safety standards, OSHA, DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
