This role is responsible for moving loaded and empty trailers in and out of docks, and for customers when needed, following all safety procedures. The driver will operate within the confines of the property and is not allowed to operate on state and federal roadways. Daily tasks include yard checks, performing manual duties such as trailer inspections and opening/closing doors, ensuring product/equipment is free of damage or contamination, completing paperwork, using a basic computer/tablet for documentation, operating a handheld radio, and maintaining daily housekeeping of the assigned tractor. The driver will report any inconsistencies to the Traffic Coordinator and must maintain reliable attendance and adhere to all safety and security standards.
