About The Position

Daniels Health is hiring a full-time Non CDL Driver to collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customer locations and deliver a high level of customer service across the San Diego, California Plant. The driver safely collects, delivers, and stores containers, operates straight trucks up to 26 feet, and manages assigned routes. The role offers autonomy, stable hours, access to overtime, a modern and well-maintained vehicle fleet, and PPE and training for safe medical waste handling. The position is permanent and scheduled for approximately 40–45 hours per week.

Requirements

Have a non-CDL license, a clean driving record, and a valid medical card.
Be willing to work full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week.
Have experience completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
Have at least six months of driving experience with tractor trailers and/or straight trucks.
Pass the 7-year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Have a flexible, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
Have experience operating vehicles safely.
Have experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
Be confident with road checks at levels 1 through 3.
Demonstrate longevity in past employment and on-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer locations.
Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
Operate vehicles safely, including straight trucks as large as 26 feet.
Complete deliveries on schedule and clearly communicate changes or challenges.
Load and unload containers and organize the truck according to the schedule and operational needs.
Manage assigned routes according to leadership direction and provide timely, efficient, and effective service.
Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
Perform heavy lifting.
