Medical Waste Containers - Non-CDL Driver (4AM-2:30PM) - 7065
About The Position
Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a customer-focused driver to operate a box truck up to 26 feet long in the Gardena, California area. The driver collects sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare customers, delivers and stores containers, and provides dependable customer service. The role requires safe vehicle operation, route organization, timely deliveries, loading and unloading, and compliance with DOT requirements. Drivers receive PPE and safety training for handling medical waste. This is a permanent, full-time role, approximately 40 hours per week, working four days a week from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The advertised pay is $23–$25 per hour.
Requirements
- Willingness to be COVID-19 vaccinated.
- Willingness to work full-time hours, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
- Pass the seven-year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Flexible, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
- Experience operating vehicles safely, including box trucks up to 26 feet long.
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
- Confidence with Level 1 through Level 3 road checks.
- Proven longevity in past employment.
- Ability to follow on-time delivery practices.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift 50–75 pounds, and push or pull 100–250 pounds, as applicable to the role.

Responsibilities

- Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
- Perform required lifting, pushing, and pulling.
