About The Position

Pitney Bowes is hiring a Non CDL (Box and Straight) Truck Driver, 3rd Shift at our Ashland, Virginia in our Presort Services facility. Join our team and earn $20 per hour paid weekly with possible overtime! Your 3rd Shift Schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:30PM – 2:30AM (EST).

Requirements

• Must be minimum 21 years in age.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license (State in which driver resides).
• Ability to drive a Box and/or Straight Truck up to 26,000 GVWR.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months verifiable driving experience in similar sized vehicles (i.e., Box and/or Straight Truck) within the last 3 years with a safe driving record.
• Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Must be flexible and have the ability to come in early or work later if someone calls off or is on vacation
• Basic Computer skills and ability to read a map and understand directions
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend with or without accommodation.
• Good attendance is mandatory.
• Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned vehicles by Pitney Bowes pre-trip inspection guidelines and procedures daily.
• Report any defective findings to the Transportation Supervisor to be fixed immediately.
• Inspects products to verify conformance to customer specifications, and USPS regulations
• Ensure the mail is reviewed for proper dates, presort slugs and a pickup slip are attached with each order prior to loading on the truck.
• Performing warehouse duties include wrapping pallets, stacking trays, and loading trucks.
• Maintains daily driver’s log for mileage and cargo
• Responsible for picking up and delivering mail from our customers.
• Maintain documentation for customer pickups such as collecting signatures and tracking/documenting mail counts and assisting with mail related questions.
• Uses all required cell phone applications.
• Keeps vehicle, production floor and area clean
• Always maintain a professional appearance when collecting mail from customers.
• Other duties as assigned
