About The Position

Shore Point Distributing Company is seeking a motivated Non-Alcoholic Outside Sales Representative for the North Region. This role is responsible for implementing in-person sales strategies to drive growth within an assigned territory. Key duties include identifying new business opportunities, managing order replenishment with a focus on quality assurance, strengthening customer relationships, and executing sales plans. The representative will act as the face of Shore Point Distributing, promoting product knowledge and driving sales performance through direct customer engagement. Success in this role is crucial for customer satisfaction, brand reputation, and overall sales results. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The assigned territory includes Sussex, Passaic, Bergen, Warren, Morris, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties in New Jersey. While primarily focused on the North Region, occasional support in the South Region may be required.

Requirements

  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service and/or sales experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage administrative responsibilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • All candidates must successfully complete a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical examination.

Responsibilities

  • Represent, solicit, and present the full product portfolio across all assigned accounts.
  • Execute sales plans and programs effectively, including communicating pricing and promotions and coordinating merchandising in alignment with supplier and distributor standards.
  • Utilize available tools, technology, and resources to drive sales growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within each account.
  • Manage daily account activity, including call-ins, backorders, and online portal submissions, ensuring accurate inventory levels to minimize out-of-stock situations and quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with product code date standards and quality control per supplier agreements using inventory tracking, pickup & move procedures, and inventory rotation.
  • Maintain a consistent sales route and visit schedule.
  • Serve as a mentor to the relief sales representative.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, key metrics, and surveys in a timely manner; monitor receivables and manage account credits.
  • Maintain assigned company property in good condition and in compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain required company documentation, including permits, invoices, sampling logs, and sample stickers.
  • Accurately maintain account profiles within company systems.
