Hospitalist Nocturnist Physician - UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center
About The Position
We have an opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine Nocturnist Physician to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen. This is a full-service hospitalist practice within the University of Maryland Medical System, a university hospital with excellent specialty support. The role involves an average of 15 patients per day in a closed ICU, meaning the team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes. The staffing model includes 23 providers: 12 physicians and 11 APPs, with specific coverage for day, swing, and night shifts. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC, and the hospital has 257 beds with a Level II Trauma designation. Responsibilities include admissions, unit-based rounding, discharges, daily multidisciplinary rounds, geographic rounds, and participation in rapid response and code team activities.
Requirements
- BE/BC in Internal Medicine
