About The Position

We have an opportunity for a BE/BC Internal Medicine Physician to join our well-established Hospital Medicine service at University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health locations in Bel Air and Aberdeen. This is a full-service hospitalist practice within the University of Maryland Medical System. It is a university hospital with excellent specialty support. The average daily patient census is 15. The ICU is closed, meaning the team is not expected to perform procedures or run codes. The staffing model includes 23 providers: 12 physicians and 11 APPs. Day shift has 10 physicians and 7 APPs, swing shift has 1 APP, and night shift has 2 physicians and 3 APPs. The EMR system used is EPIC. The hospital has 257 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center. Responsibilities include unit-based rounding, swing shift covers admissions and new consults during the day, and dedicated nocturnists. Requirements

BE/BC in Internal Medicine
Strong inpatient skill set
Quality-focused team player
Experience working with advanced practice providers
Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Effective oral and written communication skills
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Active (state) license
American Heart Association CPR certification
DEA License
State controlled substance registration
ACLS

Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed
Unit-based rounding
