About The Position

Methodist Medical Group is seeking a skilled Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician in Dallas, Texas. The physician will work at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, a 595-bed acute care teaching and referral hospital and the only adult Level I Trauma Center in Southern Dallas. The role includes caring for hospitalized patients and collaborating with a team of 40 hospitalist physicians and advanced practice providers. The position offers a 7-on/7-off schedule and opportunities to work with residents.

Requirements

Be willing to work as a Nocturnist.
Successfully complete an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program.
Be board-certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM certified).
Hold an active Texas medical license and DEA registration.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Conduct physical assessments and obtain medical histories of hospitalized patients.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory tests, and make diagnoses based on clinical findings and test results.
Develop and implement patient-tailored treatment plans.
Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatments.
Maintain accurate medical records and follow standard documentation practices.
Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens, home care, and health maintenance.
Stay current on evidence-based hospital medicine practices and follow hospital-based protocols.
