About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Hospitalist Nocturnist to cover FMLA leave. The role involves providing 100% inpatient care during night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with an approximate patient load of 22 inpatients per day. The hospital utilizes the Cerner PowerChart EHR system. Weekend commitment is required.

Requirements

• Board Certification is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA is required.
• Verbal confirmation of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number during name clearance.
• Clean background check history for expedited privileging.
• Active Michigan medical license is required.
• Must provide availability upon name clearance.
• Flu vaccination for the 2024-2025 season.
• COVID vaccination documentation (or declination for 2024-2025 booster).
• Tuberculosis (TB) testing: 2-step skin test within the last 12 months or Quantiferon test within the last 6 months, and completion of a TB questionnaire.
• Hepatitis B: Titer results with quantifiable numbers or a declination form.
• Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR): Evidence of vaccination series or titers with quantifiable results.
• Varicella: Proof of vaccine series or titers with quantifiable results.
• Tdap: Adult vaccination received within the past 10 years.
• Current certifications in ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) are mandatory.
• Must be board certified.
• Active medical license in Michigan is a prerequisite.
