About The Position

Intermountain Health is seeking a Nocturnist Critical Care physician to join a team of experienced intensivists to work in the state-of-the-art facility at LDS Hospital. This role involves practicing in a 16-bed adult mixed medical/surgical ICU, caring for complex critically ill patients. The pulmonary and critical care team is currently made up of 10 physicians and 6 APPs. The position is part-time (0.5 FTE) with scheduled hours of 5pm-7:30am, working 5-6 night shifts per 4-weeks. There is potential for up to 0.5 FTE nocturnist tele critical care available. LDS Hospital is scheduled to open a new building in Downtown SLC in 2030.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Residency training in Internal Medicine
• Board certification or eligibility in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
• Not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Practicing at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah
• Working in a 16-bed adult mixed medical/surgical ICU, caring for medical patients, general surgery, trauma, hematologic malignancies, and bone marrow transplant patients
• Serving as an equal member of multi-disciplinary teams supporting advanced therapies for complex critically ill patients
• Participating in a shared-services critical care model, supported by critical care advanced practice providers
• Potential for up to 0.5 FTE nocturnist tele critical care
