About The Position

Join Intermountain Medical Center's growing ICU team as a Critical Care Intensivist. As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide care for complex, critically ill patients while supporting advanced critical care therapies at Intermountain Health's flagship quaternary hospital. Intermountain Medical Center is a state-of-the-art academic medical center featuring 96 ICU beds across four specialized ICUs, with continued expansion underway. This role provides an opportunity for a nocturnist intensivist to work in our Shock Trauma ICU and/or Cardiac ICU depending on the interest and background of the applicant. Intermountain Medical Center is nationally recognized, including a #1 U.S. ranking for myocardial infarction survival and a Three-Star STS rating for cardiac surgery.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Residency training in Internal Medicine or Anesthesia or Emergency Medicine
• Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
• Not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time

Responsibilities

• Practice at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah
• Work a night schedule of 5:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Average 9–10 shifts per month (approximately 1,680 annual hours)
• Have opportunities to participate in medical teaching
• Potentially to receive protected academic time
