The Recovery Specialist I provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served and is consistent with recovery-centered care principles. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare continues to advance cultural diversity, humility, equity, and inclusion at all levels of our organization by hiring mental health peers, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and all belief systems. This is a 16-bed secure facility that includes a full staff of nurses, peer recovery coaches, recovery specialists and psychiatric prescribers. We serve adult residents of Washington state, ages 18 and older, who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness and are currently experiencing a significant crisis in their lives. A Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) will evaluate individuals referred by community hospitals. If individuals are found to need emergency involuntary detainment, they will be admitted to the inpatient unit. We cannot accept any individual who has a co-occurring medical condition that requires more than an outpatient level of care, sexually violent offenders being detained pursuant to RCW 71.09 or high risk sex offenders classified by the local law enforcement agencies, or any individual with any pending (not dismissed or otherwise disposed) felony charge. Individuals released on a Temporary Release (TR) may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis after consultation with the DCR.
