The Recovery Specialist I provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served and is consistent with recovery-centered care principles. This role is within an acute program serving adult residents of Washington state, ages 18 and older, who have been diagnosed with a serious mental illness and are currently experiencing a significant crisis. The program is a 16-bed secure facility with a full staff of nurses, peer recovery coaches, recovery specialists, and psychiatric prescribers. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Individuals are evaluated by a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) and may be admitted if found to need emergency involuntary detainment. The program cannot accept individuals with co-occurring medical conditions requiring more than outpatient care, sexually violent offenders, or individuals with pending felony charges.
