About The Position

The NOC / Service Management Analyst is responsible for monitoring enterprise network and system health, managing incidents, and ensuring timely communication and coordination during outages. This role serves as a critical link between monitoring operations and technical support teams, ensuring service continuity and operational excellence. The analyst proactively identifies potential issues, escalates incidents appropriately, and leads coordination efforts during major outages. This role operates in a 24x7 environment and plays a key role in minimizing service disruptions and improving operational response.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 0–2 years of experience in NOC, help desk, IT operations, or technical support
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Familiarity with ITIL fundamentals and incident management
  • Exposure to monitoring tools (Datadog, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

  • Enterprise or financial services environment experience

  • ServiceNow incident, event, and knowledge modules
  • Runbook / SOP documentation experience
  • Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
  • CompTIA Network+, Security+, or ITIL certification

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network and system health using enterprise monitoring tools
  • Identify, analyze, and escalate issues based on severity and impact
  • Document all incidents accurately in ServiceNow
  • Apply NOC event management processes to triage and route events
  • Act as Incident Manager during major incident bridge calls
  • Coordinate cross‑functional resources and communications during outages
  • Support alert tuning and onboarding of new application monitoring
  • Maintain KB articles, runbooks, and SOP documentation
  • Produce shift handoff reports and operational summaries
  • Participate in on‑call rotation for 24x7 coverage
