About The Position

Delta Security Services is seeking professional, dependable, and experienced armed and unarmed security guards to provide security services at a busy nightclub in Phoenix, Arizona. Guards maintain a professional presence, communicate effectively with patrons, manage challenging situations, and help provide a safe environment for guests and employees. The position is strictly part-time, with work on Friday and Saturday nights only, from 9:30 PM to 2:30 AM, for approximately 10 hours per week. No additional shifts or full-time hours are available at this assignment. Unarmed guards earn $18.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience, and armed guards earn $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience. Compensation is determined by relevant experience, qualifications, and assigned position. The job is located at 4139 W Bell Road, Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

Possess a valid Arizona DPS Unarmed or Armed Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be available to work Friday and Saturday nights from 9:30 PM to 2:30 AM consistently.
Have reliable transportation and maintain consistent attendance.
Have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Be able to remain calm and professional when dealing with intoxicated or confrontational individuals.
Be able to stand and remain active for extended periods.
Successfully complete applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
Armed applicants must meet all applicable Arizona DPS armed security licensing and firearm qualification requirements.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Previous nightclub, bar, entertainment venue, or event security experience.
Experience with ID verification, entry screening, and crowd management.
Knowledge of Arizona Title 4 liquor laws.
Arizona Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training certification.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Prior law enforcement, military, or security experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct professional and respectful security screenings of patrons entering the nightclub.
Check for weapons, contraband, and prohibited items in accordance with venue policies.
Monitor access points and prevent unauthorized entry.
Enforce venue rules while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
Verify identification to ensure patrons meet the minimum legal drinking age of 21.
Recognize potentially fraudulent or altered identification and deny entry when necessary in accordance with venue policies and applicable laws.
Monitor crowds and identify potential disturbances before they escalate.
Address intoxicated, aggressive, or disorderly individuals professionally and use verbal de-escalation techniques whenever possible.
Assist with safely removing individuals from the venue when necessary and authorized.
Assist nightclub management with compliance with Arizona Title 4 liquor laws.
Identify and report suspected underage drinking, excessive intoxication, and other potential violations.
Coordinate with management regarding patrons who may need to be denied entry or service.
Respond promptly to disturbances, altercations, medical emergencies, and other security incidents.
Contact law enforcement or emergency medical services when appropriate.
Document incidents accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and management.
Work closely with fellow security guards, nightclub management, and employees.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude throughout each shift.
Remain alert, attentive, and actively engaged in assigned security duties.
