About The Position

The Sanitation position is responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the proper upkeep and cleanliness of BEK buildings. This role involves strictly adhering to safety guidelines, cleaning all surfaces of assigned areas using appropriate maintenance tools and equipment, and ensuring the upkeep of designated dock areas to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 months of work experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to receive and follow directions.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Must pass drug screen and physical exam.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and use a cherry-picker and work in high places (must not be afraid of heights).
  • Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
