The Night Transportation Manager is responsible for building and maintaining driver relationships by understanding and meeting their needs, which include home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, and equipment issues. This role involves utilizing operating systems, customer operating systems, driver telematics, and various communication methods (face-to-face, phone, text). The manager will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on various factors, ensuring alignment with driver needs and availability. A key aspect of the role is understanding and adhering to customer service expectations, goals, and initiatives to enhance value for both the customer and Werner. The position requires interfacing with multiple departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, and maintenance, as well as external vendors. The Night Transportation Manager will work closely with the Dedicated Logistics Manager and/or Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers and perform other related duties as assigned. Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift is also required.
