About The Position
Capital Materials Quarries is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Night Shift Quarry Foreman to join our team at our Sedalia, Missouri location. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position offering competitive wages and a night shift differential.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong work ethic with dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel and work out of town when necessary
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in varying weather conditions while exposed to dust, fumes, dampness, and mechanical, electrical, and traffic hazards
- Skillfully operate one or more pieces of heavy construction equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulations, including but not limited to: scrapers, graders, motor graders/blades, trenchers, rock cutters, front-end loaders (4 cubic yards and over), steel-wheeled rollers, bulldozers, and other light, medium, and heavy-duty equipment
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment remains clean, safe, and in proper working condition
- Communicate effectively with foremen and coworkers regarding daily job tasks and specifications
- Operate power-driven tools and machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, and similar equipment
- Use powered and non-powered hand tools (rakes, shovels, etc.) as needed
- Perform general labor duties when required
- Maintain flexibility to assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management
- Work in a variety of physical positions throughout the shift, including standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching overhead
