Southern Cross is seeking a full-time Night Shift AMLD Driver in the Pittsburgh, PA area to support its Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) program. This role involves surveying natural gas pipeline systems using specialized vehicle-based technology. The ideal candidate is a dependable driver who can work primarily third shift, travel extensively based on business needs, and operate safely and independently while following assigned routes, procedures, and client requirements. The position demands a high level of flexibility, as drivers may be reassigned to different projects with little notice and must be available for emergency driving assignments outside of their normal schedule, including nights, weekends, and other non-standard hours. Drivers should be comfortable using technology such as cell phones, tablets, and laptops, including navigating multiple applications, and must be willing to learn routine troubleshooting procedures. The typical schedule is 10-hour night shifts, Sunday evening through Thursday morning, generally around 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM. A clean DMV driving record is required, and company vehicles are equipped with telematics. Training is paid and typically lasts approximately one week.
