While reporting to the Shipping Manager as a Truck Driver, you will operate sit down forklift machinery to lift, load, or move material as directed. This role involves inspecting machinery and assessing the work area before operations to ensure safety, taking proper precautionary measures when operating machinery, and maintaining and repairing forklift equipment as needed, logging all maintenance procedures. You will support essential logistic operations through storage, transportation, and repairing equipment. The job includes loading approximately 20 pallets onto a 48' trailer with a roller bed using a forklift, driving an automatic day cab with trailer to a customer 10 minutes down the road, and manually unloading individual pallets using a hook to pull pallets onto conveyors. This process could be repeated at an average of 5-6 loads per shift.
