About The Position
Hight Electric is a growing logistics company leading the transition to zero-emission transportation. Based in Long Beach, CA, we specialize in port drayage and operate electric trucks throughout Southern California. We’re looking for a dependable CDL Class A Driver to join our night shift team. If you have port experience, and want consistent work we want to hear from you!
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Valid TWIC Card
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to work a night shift schedule
- Clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Flatbed experience
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks and transport containers to and from the Ports
- Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Safely secure and transport loads
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (e-Logs) and required documentation
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and terminal personnel
- Complete pickups and deliveries safely and on schedule
- Maintain a clean driving record and properly care for company equipment
- Attend required safety meetings and training
- Perform other duties as assigned
