Requirements

  • High school diploma or a GED
  • 1+ years’ experience loading and selecting merchandise in a warehouse
  • 1-2 years’ experience with electric power equipment
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills to properly identify products and mark them for delivery
  • Ability to understand the slot-sequencing layout of the warehouse and labels that are placed on selected products
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures in order to select product from refrigerated, frozen, and dry picking locations
  • Ability to follow instructions to work safely, efficiently, and accurately using company provided equipment
  • Ability to lift products weighing between 40-60 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Accurately selects products using voice-directed picking technology or handheld RF scanners.
  • Verifies product descriptions, quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates to ensure order accuracy.
  • Builds stable, organized pallets to minimize product damage during transportation.
  • Wraps, labels, and stages completed pallets in designated shipping areas for loading.
  • Rotates product using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices when applicable.
  • Performs quality checks to identify damaged, outdated, or incorrect products before shipment.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping standards.
  • Follows all food safety, sanitation, and warehouse safety procedures.
  • Reports inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and equipment issues to leadership promptly.
  • Assists with replenishing pick locations to maintain product availability.
  • Safely lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls products weighing up to company-established limits.
  • Meets established productivity, attendance, and quality expectations in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Works collaboratively with supervisors and fellow associates to ensure nightly shipping goals are achieved.
  • Performs pre- and post-shift inspections of assigned warehouse equipment and reports any maintenance concerns.
  • Complies with all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe material handling practices.
  • Performs other warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.
