About The Position

As a Warehouse Selector, you’ll pick, gather, and organize products and prepare orders for delivery to local customers. The role involves selecting products from storage, building and wrapping pallets, checking order accuracy, and following safety procedures. The work is active and physically demanding, with frequent lifting and walking. The position is at C&S Wholesale Services, LLC’s GMD facility at 5050 Edgewood Court, Jacksonville, Florida 32254. The stated pay is $18.00 per hour. The shift begins at 6:00 PM and continues until completed. Fridays and Saturdays are off; Sundays are required. The work environment may include grocery dry goods areas with temperatures of about 50° to 90°.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
Ability and willingness to follow all material-handling equipment safe operating procedures.
Ability to safely handle frequent lifting of products weighing 1–60 lbs. or more, including lifting from floor to overhead.
Ability to stand, bend, pull, lift, pivot, and walk for much of the shift, including walking 6–12 miles per day on varied surfaces.
Ability to safely handle sharp objects, including box-cutting tools.

Responsibilities

Pick various items using order sheets or an audio headset.
Stack items on pallets for wrapping and loading at bay doors.
Ensure orders are accurate while following safety standards.
Operate a double walkie-rider or electric pallet jack to remove product cases from storage racks, place them on pallets, and apply selection labels when applicable.
Use proper wrapping techniques to protect products from damage.
Inform a supervisor of differences in case quantity or description.
Inspect equipment and complete the appropriate form.
Lift varying case weights, shapes, and heights safely.
Follow material-handling equipment safe operating procedures.
