About The Position

Leisure Manor is looking for TWO Night Porters to join their team. These are part-time positions with two schedule options: Saturdays and Sundays from 5 PM to 1 AM, or Saturdays and Sundays from 1 AM to 8:30 AM. The Night Porter works closely with the Community Administrator and on-site team to ensure the community is clean, well-kept, and in accordance with RSI standards. The Porter is responsible for keeping the building secure and is the first point of contact for all emergencies.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
One year of experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand; and use hands to handle/lift objects.
The employee occasionally must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds.
Additionally, the employee, on occasion, must crouch, kneel, or climb stairs.
Most work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
This position requires substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Must have the ability to walk short distances.

Experience with Seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

Responds to emergency calls, either from pull cord system or through pendant system depending on assigned community.
Main point of contact for all after hours phone calls.
Ensures that the building grounds are clean and well maintained. Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of sidewalk areas, outside entrances and patio furniture.
Responsible for the dusting, vacuuming and general cleanliness of common areas in the community; including the kitchen, dining room, bathrooms, exercise rooms, library, and game room.
Takes all trash and recycle to the appropriate bins or dumpsters.
Ensures the security of the building by performing periodic walk-throughs, checking that all entry ways are secure.
Reports in and reads the logbook each shift to ensure accurate communication and documentation of any issues.
