About The Position

Capitol City Produce is seeking a driven, high-impact leader to join our operations team as a Night Operations Manager. This role is responsible for leading all night warehouse operations, driving productivity, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and building a strong, accountable team culture in a fast-paced food distribution environment. Requirements

5+ years of leadership experience in distribution or warehouse operations
Food distribution or cold-storage experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and accountability skills
Ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced environment
Experience analyzing operational metrics and performance data
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to work in 34-degree coolers and below-zero freezer conditions
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to push objects up to 500 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and stooping

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
Experience with warehouse management systems or routing systems preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the night warehouse operation including order selection operations, shipping and dock flow, forklift replenishment, quality inspections, sanitation and safety, office and administrative coordination, and shift productivity and labor management.
Work closely with supervisors and leads to ensure operational excellence while creating a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and retention.
Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing employees.
Build a positive, team-oriented culture across night operations.
Drive productivity, efficiency, and throughput improvements.
Monitor warehouse performance metrics and labor costs.
Ensure order accuracy, quality standards, and on-time departures.
Utilize Produce Pro and operational reporting tools to monitor performance.
Ensure exceptional customer service.
Manage staffing schedules and overtime effectively.
Coordinate with Safety and Loss Prevention.
Support SQF compliance and food safety standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
