Night Line Haul Driver - Home Daily, Class A
About The Position
Johnson Brothers, a national family-owned wine, spirits, and beer distributor, is hiring a Night Line Haul Driver for its Charlotte, North Carolina distribution facility. The role positions and moves trucks and tractor-trailers between the warehouse and branch locations within the state. It involves local and regional travel, and drivers are home daily. This is a third-shift position scheduled Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Some overtime and additional hours may be required without advance notice. Full benefits are available after 30 days, and the position includes a PTO plan.
Requirements
- Operate and maintain trucks and equipment safely and comply with driver guidelines.
- Hold an active Class A CDL for the state of residence and have a satisfactory driving record for the last three years.
- Be at least 21 years old and qualify for an ABC permit.
- Safely lift 40–60 pounds repeatedly.
- Have a high school degree or equivalent.
- Be available to meet scheduling requirements, including additional hours without advance notice.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and post-offer physical.
Nice To Haves
- Three to five years of previous experience is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Operate company trucks over 4 tons to deliver, pick up, and relocate products.
- Inspect trucks and clean their interiors.
- Make occasional in-route pallet deliveries or pickups.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
