About The Position

The Night Guest Agent is responsible for concluding the day's Front Desk operations, completing end-of-day maintenance functions, and preparing for the following day's operations. This role also involves participating in safety, security, and emergency procedures, handling financial transactions, and demonstrating a commitment to the highest levels of guest service. The position requires learning and using guests' names, confirming reservation details, addressing guest inquiries and problems, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all aspects of Front Office operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum six months recent (in the last five years) experience as a Guest Agent or Night Guest Agent, or, a minimum of six months consecutive recent (in the last five years) experience in a position demanding a luxury standard of constant guest/ customer service
  • Completely fluent English language skills; both written and verbal
  • Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone and correspondence skills
  • High level of professionalism, responsibility and commitment
  • Excellent organizational skills while showing flexibility in handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Team player with proven success in relationship building and dependability
  • Ability to make decisions with limited supervision and being innovative with available resources
  • Commitment to provide excellent service to internal and external guests with a history of responding empathetically and with urgency to their needs
  • Proficient working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Word, and experience with a Property Management System
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the guests’ name and uses it regularly with warm and engaging service
  • Acknowledges guests in line
  • Confirms rate and type of room while checking guest into the hotel
  • Upon departure offers a friendly greeting and asks if stay was satisfactory
  • Takes responsibility for any guest inquiries and problems
  • Be fully versed and competent in all aspects of Front Office operations and provide the highest levels of professional, prompt and discreet Guest Service
  • Conclude the day’s Front Desk Operation
  • Complete End of Day maintenance functions
  • Complete preparation for following day’s operation
  • Participate in Safety, Security and Emergency roles
  • Handle cash, credit card and voucher transactions while balancing daily transactions
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the highest levels of Guest Service through the performance of other duties as assigned
